Summer In The City
I love the vibrant colors in this one because they remind me of my days of being a kid in the late 60s and early 70s, when everything was neon and day-glo! Playing happily with “Mod and Malibu Barbies”, while most of the clothing and swimsuits I owned were (like Barbie’s) also in these bright, fun shades! It was a trip down memory lane for me, working with this “Hot” palette. The title is a nod to the popular song of this era, too: “Summer In The City” by The Lovin’ Spoonful, 1966. This Artwork also comes from my new “Cross Series.
